This position repairs and maintains diesel engines used to power machines, such as buses, ships, trucks, railroad trains, electric generators, and construction machinery, using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools. Reports to the service foreman and is responsible for repairs and service/maintenance as directed by the service foreman. Positions are available in Liberty and Springfield Missouri, Wichita, Salina, Great Bend, Liberal, and Colby Kansas, and Woodward Oklahoma.
This position repairs and maintains power generation equipment. Will be responsible for inspections, repairs, servicing, and load bank testing on equipment. Must have the ability to troubleshoot equipment, shutdown switches, starters, battery systems, and service customers. Positions are available in Liberty and Riverside, Missouri. (North Kansas City) as well as Liberal, KS, Wichita, KS and Woodward, OK.
A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in diesel mechanical/power generation repair is required. Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with generators preferred. Must have a good driving record.
Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical skills, strong diagnostic skills, and good communication skills. Will also be able to consistently repair components and equipment in line with dealers' and manufacturers' flat rate time standards. Will also have the ability to work independently.
The Service Manger is responsible for the management and supervision of: in-shop service and repair of machines and equipment, field service repair, warranty repairs, as well as enforcement of all WheelTime policies and procedures as well as other assigned duties. Positions are available in Liberal, KS.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a customer service professional with at least five years of experience in the field of automotive and/or diesel mechanical repairs. A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in automotive and/or diesel mechanical repairs. Heavy Equipment experience is a definite plus. Experience with MTU and Detroit Diesel, Allison, CAT, Cummins products and service is even better. All candidates should have excellent customer relations and communications skills.

(a nationally known and respected leader in diesel engine and transmission sales, repair and maintenance) has an immediate opening for a Corporate Sales Manager at our north Kansas City corporate offices. This position will include all aspects of managing the sales group (OEM, Off-Highway, On-Highway, etc.), identifying new prospects, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective customers within our territory.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a sales professional that is well versed in diesel technology that will be comfortable working with customers to get our MTU and Detroit Diesel engines and Allison transmissions into their products. Excellent customer relations and communications skills and be ready to roll up their sleeves. A strong sales background with proven track record is a must.
The Engine Rebuild Tech will perform reconditioning, rebuilding, and overhaul of diesel engines such as the Detroit Diesel two cycle engine. Will test, diagnose and troubleshoot systems, adjust systems for performance, and be responsible for recognizing visible indications of problems as well as analyzing components for fracture and wear. Positions are available in Great Bend, KS.
Qualified candidates must have thorough understanding of diagnostic equipment, along with experience rebuilding diesel engines such as the Detroit Diesel 2-cycle engine. Must have High School Diploma or GED, two-year Vocational Tech degree preferred. Minimum two years experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Four years of experience preferred.
The Allison Transmission Technician will perform repairs to Allison transmissions for heavy-duty trucks. Daily work activities will include troubleshooting, diagnostics, teardown, removal and repair of Allison transmissions and components. Positions available in Liberty, MO and Wichita, KS.
Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Allison products performing troubleshooting, service and repair of diesel engines and transmissions. Must have extensive experience with Allison transmissions performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, teardown, removal and repair of components. Must have excellent attention to detail, along with good organizational and time management skills in order to work independently. High School Diploma or GED required, two-year Vocational Tech degree preferred.

Will test, diagnose and troubleshoot systems, adjust systems for performance, and be responsible for recognizing visible indications of problems as well as analyzing components for fracture and wear. Daily work activities will include: troubleshooting, diagnostics, tear-down, remove & repair of Allison transmissions and components. Work will be performed in climate-controlled workshop and tools will be provided. Position available in Wichita, KS.
The ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of transmissions, preferably experience working with Allison products performing troubleshooting, service and repair of transmissions. Must have extensive experience with transmissions performing: diagnostics, troubleshooting, tear down, removal and repair of components. Must have excellent attention to detail, along with good organizational and time management skills. Minimum two years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Four years of experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent, two-year Vocational Certificate preferred.
The Senior Parts Specialist reports to the Parts Manager and is charged with the responsibility of selling truck and generator parts. This job function is responsible for parts counter and phone sales as well as assisting customers in the determination of parts requirements, and providing order processing services. The Sr. Parts Counter associate also provides support to the service department in the area of: shop and field - parts sales; service department parts order processing; warehousing functions such as picking, packing and shipping; delivery and pickup of parts to service mechanics; customer parts sales; customer parts order processing; telephone selling; in-store sales and merchandising. Position is available in Liberal, Kansas.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of related experience in retail parts sales, preferably with the same or similar product line. Qualified candidates will also possess a High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical school certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.
The Branch Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
- Screening inbound customer calls and taking appropriate messages when necessary.
- Setting up conference calls when needed.
- Transcription, with proficiency in proofreading, editing and grammar.
- Ease in use of all office equipment including computers, printers, copiers and fax machines.
- Maintain calendar for General Manager and Outside Sales Staff with timely advisement of upcoming meetings.
- Make travel arrangements, reservations, etc... when necessary.
- Mail retrieval/screening for General Manager.
- Maintain office file system for administrative and confidential correspondence, as well as policies and procedures and notebooks.
- Dispatch special projects as directed by General Manager.
- Transcribe personal correspondence; file same.
- Typing and revising sales agreements, and other customer correspondence.
- Coordinate employee events as directed by the General Manager.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalency degree, with some college coursework preferred. Three or more years of directly related experience in an administrative support or coordinator role. Above average written and verbal communication skills, with excellent English grammar. Mastery of standard office equipment and software applications such as: Word, Excel, Internet, E-mail, Fax machines, copiers, etc... Position is available in Riverside, MO.
